Job description
We are looking for an individual who loves food production and is curious about the science of ice cream and baking. Our team is passionate about quality food, quality ingredients, and community. The position begins in April and is approximately 35-40 hours per week based on a four or five-day workweek.
This person will:
- work closely with everyone within all levels of the Ice Cream Production
- label pint containers, pack pint containers which will include operating the ice cream machine for 6-8hours at a time and packing pints with layers of caramel, sauces, and swirls of fruit into fresh ice cream
- clean and sanitize workspace
- keep track of inventory and work with systems to manage inventory
We are looking for an individual who
- is curious
- has a strong work ethic, and integrity
- is available for some weekend work during the summer peak season
- can work in a freezer
- respects safety and hygiene standards
- can lift 20-30 pounds, and 5-10 consistently
- can work in close proximity to others and
- can communicate clearly, and concisely
- is detail-oriented and can adapt to new systems
- has a valid Food Handlers certificate (or can complete upon hiring)
- likes a little bit of math!
